Adenomyomatosis

Adenomyomatosis usually refers to adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder, although some authors will use the term to also denote adenomyosis of the uterus.

In both instances, there is ingrowth of the mucosa into the surrounding muscular wall of the parent organ.
