Atypical ectopic pregnancy

An atypical ectopic pregnancy generally refers to an ectopic pregnancy which occurs outside the fimbrial, isthmic , central and ampullary portions of the fallopian tube.
Locations include:
- interstitial ectopic : 3% (often also termed cornual ectopic) : also essentially a type of tubal ectopic
- ovarian ectopic : 0.5 - 1% (ovarian pregnancy)
- cervical ectopic : rare (or cervical pregnancy)
- scar ectopic : site of previous Caesarian section scar : rare
- abdominal ectopic : rare ( ~ 1.4%)
