Chassaignac's bursa

Chassaignac’s bursa, also known as retromammary bursa or submammary serous bursa, identifies the fat located between the deep part of the subcutaneous layer and the muscular fascia of the pectoralis major muscle. It contributes towards the mobility of the breast on the thoracic wall. The term for bursa is no longer officially recognized by the present anatomical terminology.
