Chemotherapy induced cholangitis
A chemotherapy induced cholangitis is caused when intra-arterial chemotherapy is introduced to treat liver metastases. This causes strictures of the common hepatic duct and main ducts, but spares distal and proximal (Common bile duct and intrahepatic ducts). It is thoughout due to the blood supply to the biliary tree.
