Fetal limb bowing
Fetal limb bowing particularly if severe can be a feature many skeletal dysplasias. A mild degree of lateral bowing to femur can occur as part of normal variation.
Conditions associated with fetal limb bowing include
- campomelic dysplasia 1:
- thanatophoric dysplasia 2 : particularly type I
- certain variants of perinatal lethal hypophosphatasia : campomelic like
- dyssegmental dysplasia
- certain types of osteogenesis imperfecta : e.g. type II - tends to have fractures as well / type III
