O'Donoghue's unhappy triad

The O'Donogue's unhappy triad comprises of a 3 types of pathology that frequently tend to occur simultaneously in knee injuries. They are

  1. anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear
  2. medial collateral ligament (MCL) tear / strain
  3. (medial) meniscal tear (lateral compartment bone bruise)
