Orbital vascular lesions

The orbit may be affected by a number of vascular lesions, and in some instances distinguishing between them may be difficult on imaging. The following conditions are recognised:
- arteriovenous malformation
- capillary haemangioma
- cavernous haemangioma
- lymphangioma / lymphangiovenous malformation / venolymphatic malformation
- orbital venous varix
- sclerosing haemangioma
- haemangiopericytoma
- haemangioendothelioma (angiosarcoma)
- arterial aneurysms
