Pinned images

Last revised by Tim Luijkx on 8 Feb 2015

Pinned images are images that the logged in user has specifically selected by switching the grey pin of an image into a yellow pin.

  • grey pin indicates the image is not pinned
  • yellow pin indicates the image is pinned
The advantage of pins

Images that you have pinned can be accessed via the pinned images tab within the image management console, allowing them to be easily added to relevant articles.

Stacks

Pinning the most representative image within a stack allows you to add this image to a relevant article and allow the viewer to see the key image without having to scroll through the stack.

This function has now been superseded by the key image.
