Capitalisation

  • words after bullets should not be capitalised unless they represent a name, e.g. Churg-Strauss syndrome will have "C" and "S" as capitals.

Citation

When citing the reference from the text:

  • use a superscript reference 1
  • add a space between the text and the reference, e.g.
    • correct method: abcdefgh ref
    • wrong method: abcdefghref
  • if it is at the end of a sentence, it should be before the full-stop (period), e.g.
    • correct method: abcdefgh ref.
    • wrong method: abcdefgh. ref
  • if it precedes a list, it should be before the colon, e.g.
    • correct method: abcdefgh ref:
    • wrong method: abcdefgh: ref
