Epidemiology

As a sub group they comprises 0.5 - 1% of all breast neoplasms ¹. They tend to present at a younger age than ductal or lobular carcinomas (mean 45 years ⁴).

Pathology

They characteristically show haematogenous metastases with nodes metastases being rather rare.
