Case Discussion

An example of the Falope ring tubal ligation 1.2.3. The adjacent pelvic phlebolith mimics the radio-opaque ring and one could easily report a "dropped" ring in error.

The Falope ring and applicator were invented by Dr In Bae Yoon ( Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics), hence the tubal ring is also called a Yoon ring. The ring is also known as a Lay loop (reference unknown!).
