50 year old female patient presented for a barium swallow for the investigation of gastro oesophageal reflux.

Case Discussion:

The patient did not understand english, so when asked to take a sip of barium she attempted to drink the whole cup of barium in one go. She had such a large volume of barium in her mouth that some refluxed into her right parotid duct resulting in a simultaneous barium swallow and sialogram- 2 for the price of 1 :-)
