The examination shows loss cortical- subcortical differentiation and decreased subarachnoid space of convolutions of the convexity and ventricles. A marked hypodensity is observed in both caudate nuclei. In the remaining white matter nuclei appear normal. Small hypodense area in the left corona radiata compatible with lacunar infarction.
Case Discussion
These findings are consistent with diffuse cerebral edema.
