What are the causes of Copper beaten skull appearance?
Craniosynostosis, obstructive hydrocephalus and intracranial masses. The gyral impressions are caused by chronic compression of the brain against the inner table of the skull, either due to reduced skull volume or increased intracranial pressure.
Incidental finding on trauma CT of gyral impressions on the inner table of the skull (Copper beaten skull).
The sagittal skull suture is absent, but there is no scaphocephaly.
