Recurrent shoulder dislocations. Reduction attempted, ? reduced

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

The shoulder is dislocated, with anterior dislocation of the humeral head relative to the glenoid, in keeping with an anterior glenohumeral joint dislocation.  No fracture evident on this single Y view.

Case Discussion

Glenohumeral dislocations can be anterior or posterior and the Y view can aid in the differentiation.  Associated bony Bankart and Hill-Sach defects should be also assessed for.
