Fall on outstretched hand. Tender radial head ?fracture

Mildly impacted radial neck fracture. Joint effusion.

Case Discussion

Radial neck and radial head fractures can be occult, with only a joint effusion evident on radiograph.  In children, supracondylar fractures are more common, and alignment of the capitellum relative to the anterior humeral cortex assessed for displacement.
