A 15 mm mass is seen in the upper pole of right kidney. The neoplasm has a similar density to normal renal parenchyma on non-enhanced CT scan. After IV contrast media injection, the attenuation value increased from 18 HU to 77 HU. Nephrographic-phase CT scan shows that the mass enhances less than normal renal parenchyma.
Small fat containing umbilical hernia is present.
A 30 mm thin walled non enhanced cyst is present at left adnexa.
Case Discussion
Right renal small mass; pathology proven renal cell carcinoma (clear cell subtype).
