A type 2 accessory navicular bone is present with bone marrow edema affecting the accessory ossicle and medial navicular bone on fluid-sensitive sequences.

Case Discussion

Accessory navicular syndrome happens when a type II accessory navicular bone causes pain due to movement across the pseudo-joint between the ossicle and the navicular bone.
