Man with a history of right shouder trauma after a falls and strikes the shoulder against the ground.

T2 fat sat

Coronal T2-weighted fat-saturated MR image shows type III acromioclavicular joint dislocation. Note disruption of all ligamentous fibers around acromioclavicular joint.

Case Discussion:

On MRI series we can see a type II acromioclavicular joint injury with the following finds:

- The coracoclavicular ligamentcomplex (conoid and trapezoid ligament) has sign of rupture.
- Blood and fluid are seen in the coracoclavicularinterspace.
