Acute on chronic sub-dural haematoma

Case Discussion:

A seventy years old male was referred for evaluation of acute onset coma.Aplain C.T. scan was done .It revealed a right fronto-temporo-parietal subdural collection with average C.T. value of +25 H.U. There was also multiple hyperdense foci within the sub-dural collection.indicating recent/concurrent fresh bleeding.There was mass effect,midline shift and obstructive hydrocephalus.No fracture was seen.
