Advanced laryngeal cancer

Presented with hoarseness of voice.

Patient Data

Age: 62 years
Gender: Male

There is a large mass lesion involving the supraglottic larynx. It is extending to other laryngeal compartments as well as the base of the tongue. 

The mass also shows involvement of all supraglottic subsites as well as the right true vocal cord and the subglottis. 

There is gross destruction of the laryngeal thyroid cartilage.

There is massive extralaryngeal soft tissue invasion involving the thyroid gland,strap muscles and subcutaneous soft tissue. The cephalad extension involving the base of the tongue, mylohyoid muscles and neurovascular bundles. There is multiple cervical nodal enlargements involving levels I, II and III.
