Aqueductal web

There is gross triventricular obstructive hydrocephalus seen with shunt in situ, the 4th ventricle is normal.
A sagittal thin-section 3D Spoiled Gradient-Echo (SPGR) T1-weighted sequence reveals a web at aqueduct causing obstruction.
Case Discussion
An aqueductal web is a membrane composed of fibrillary neuroglia. It is important to recognize this entity separately from aqueductal stenosis as it is surgically curable.
