Aspiration pneumonia secondary to laparoscopic banding

Presentation:

6 months of intermittent fevers and haematemesis

Patient Data:

Age: 44
Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian

Centrilobular infiltrate, confluent in areas (ie consolidation)

Dilated oesophagus associated with a laparoscopic band (implying that it is too tight)

Incidental right kidney Bosniak III (at least) cyst - 60% of these represent renal cell carcinoma
