Atrophic polycystic kidneys on an background of Alport syndrome

50 year old male.

Case Discussion:

CT demonstrates atrophic polycystic kidneys (note that they are reduced in volume rather than enlarged as would be the case in adult polycystic kidney disease). 

This patients has Alport syndrome - not that you can make the diagnosis on the basis of this scan.
