Presentation

Worsening left-sided hip pain.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Flattening of the femoral head with irregular sclerosis and inhomogeneous cystic lucencies in the head and acetabulum. Resultant cranial migration of the femoral shaft.

Case Discussion

Radiographic appearance of avascular necrosis of the left femoral head stage VI according to Steinberg classification (or stage IV according to Fiat and Arlet classification).
