Presentation
Left ureteric calculus - 6 months prior. Previous USG report: left proximal third ureteric calculus with dilated upper pole calyces. Currently asymptomatic.
Patient Data
There is a calculus near the left vesico-ureteric junction causing dilatation of ureter and pelvi-calyceal system. LEFT pelvi-calyceal system appears to be divided by parenchyma. Two ureters are noted joining each other in their proximal third of the length. During live scan, peristalsis shows alternating dilated and collapsed ureter.
No renal calyceal calculus is noted on either side.
Bilateral vesico-ureteric junction are normal in position. Ureteric jet is seen bilaterally.
Case Discussion
Findings of left proximal bifid ureter with vesico-ureteric junction calculus.
