Case contributed by:

Presentation:
Elderly patient. Incidental finding
From the case:
Bilateral macular calcification
Modality:
CT
non-contrast
Case Discussion:
CT through the orbits demonstrates bilateral calcifications located at the site of the macula. This is consistent with age related macular degeneration with calcified drusen - (Bruch membrane drusen of the retina) (Drusen is more common at the optic nerve head).
