Presentation

Hard lump in the breast with nipple retraction.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female
mammography

An irregular, high-density lesion with spiculated margins is seen in the retro-areolar region, with associated architectural distortion and nipple retraction.

Clustered microcalcifications are noted within the lesion.

Few lymph nodes are seen in the axilla.

Case Discussion

This case depicts all characteristics of a BIRADS 5 lesion.

The lesion was biopsied and proved to be infiltrating ductal carcinoma.
