Bochdalek hernia

Case contributed by: Dr Amit Tripathi

Presentation:

Three different cases.

Modality: X-ray
Modality: Barium

Case Discussion:

In the first case, there is a large left CDH with most of the bowel in chest causing mediastinal shift to right and severe compression of right lung.

Second case demonstrates relatively smaller CDH, but mediastinal and lung compression is clearly identified. Note compressive collapse of left upper lobe, projected as veiling density.

Third case. Posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia of the splenic flexure of colon. Incidental finfing in an adult.
