Bowel tumour with liver and bone metastases

Case contributed by: Dr Jeremy Jones
Modality: CT

Case Discussion:

This patient was admitted for treatment of the large cystic small bowel tumour arising from the pelvis.

An US guided drain was positioned which initially drained fluid but stopped.

The staging CT scan revealed the large mass arising from the pelvis, and the liver mets that had previously been assessed (MRI).

However, on retrospect, the area of hypoattenuation in L4 was visible on the MRI.
