Charcot feet

Presentation

Incidental previous fractured fibula. History withheld.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

X-rays of both feet demonstrate midfoot fragmentation and collapse of the medial longitudinal arch. These features are consistent with bilateral Charcot joints. Note arterial calcification.

Case Discussion

This patient is a known poorly controlled diabetic with peripheral neuropathy.
