Chondrosarcoma - grade I (gross pathology)

Case contributed by Frank Gaillard
Diagnosis not applicable

Cut surface of the humerus demonstrates multi-lobulated endomedullary lesions, bluish-white, homogenous and glistening in appearance consistent with hyaline cartilage. There is no extension through cortex.

Case Discussion

Distinguishing a low grade chondrosarcoma (as in this case) from and enchondroma is generally not possible macroscopically and relies on histological features.
