Chondrosarcoma of larynx

Case contributed by: Dr Frank Gaillard
Modality: CT

Case Discussion:

Low grade chondrosarcoma arising from the left arytenoid cartilage.

Final Diagnosis:

This specimen consists of lobulated fragments of cartilaginous tissue with mild cytological atypia. In this clinical setting these findings are most consistent with a low-grade chondrosarcoma, as benign chondromas at this anatomical site are vanishingly rare.
