Smooth and diffuse enhancement of the anterior and posterior nerve roots, with enhancement extending beyond the spinal canal into the femoral nerves, lumbosacral plexus and sciatic nerves.
Case Discussion
CIDP is considered the chronic counterpart of Guillain-Barre syndrome. In addition to enhancement, enlargement of nerve roots and muscle atrophy can be seen on MRI in CIDP.
