Chronic subclavian vein thrombosis

PH colorectal cancer. Staging CT

Patient Data:

Age: 55
Gender: Female
Modality: CT

Right arm used for venous access.

Occluded right subclavian vein (arrow) as it crosses the 1st rib with development of multiple venous collaterals around the entire right chest wall and vertebrae.  Adequate opacification of the pulmonary vasculature obtained.  Patient had previous venous access device in right subclavian vein causing chronic thrombosis.
