Case Discussion

A CSF pseudocyst is a complication of leakage from the VP shunt, which can develop at any point in the track of the VP shunt from the intracranial portion to the intra-abdominal peritoneal cavity. In this case, it is found in the chest wall (breast tissue) with a break in the VP shunt and a large lobulated CSF pseudocyst.

It can present with symptoms or be asymptomatic; in this case, it is an incidental finding.

The patient came with the lower abdominal wall for UTI and incidentally found a cyst in breast tissue with an adjacent broken VP shunt.
