Cystic duct leak post cholecystectomy - CT cholangiogram

RUQ pain 3 days post laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Patient Data:

Age: 60
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian

100ml Biliscopin infused over 30 minutes prior to CT scan

Contrast excretion into a normal calibre biliary tree. No choledocholithiasis. Conventional biliary anatomy. Leak of contrast from cystic duct stump inot gall bladder fossa.

Case Discussion:

CT cholangiography is an excellent technique for demonstarting bile duct pathology when liver function is normal or near normal.
