DCIS : multifocal DCIS and multifocal IDC

Presentation:

Diagnostic mammogram left breast. Palpable mass laterally in the left breast.

Patient Data:

Gender: Female

From the case: DCIS : multifocal DCIS and multifocal IDC

19 mm solid lesion lateral in the left breast was confirmed on ultrasound and biospy confirmed IDC. A smaller solid IDC focus is seen deep to the larger lesion.

Case Discussion:

This patient had a palpable mass lateral in the left breast. The density far lateral in the left breast was a palpable IDC. A second smaller IDC is visible deeper to the first. Also demonstrated are multiple foci of DCIS calcification at sites in the breast. Typical DCIS calcifications.
