Presentation

Trampoline injury. Pain in distal lower leg. Tender around ankle.

Patient Data

Age: 14
Gender: Male

No fracture or significant soft tissue injury. Bone island proximally within the tibia.

Case Discussion

There is no injury demonstrated on this film. However, the calcaneus is perhaps a bit more dense than would be expected normally. This is not pathological and merely represents one end of the spectrum of normality.
