Presentation

Bilious vomiting and left lower abdominal mass.

Patient Data

Age: 12 years
Gender: Female

Abdomen

x-ray

Bowel gas distribution is unremarkable.  There is paucity of bowel gas in the left lower quadrant.  There is a nonspecific calcific density projecting over the left sacroiliac joint.

Left ovarian complex mass lesion, with predominate cystic composition and a nodule containing fat and calcific focus, suggestive of mature cystic teratoma of the ovary.

Twisted pedicle of the left ovary, suggestive of secondary ovarian torsion.
