Neurocysticercosis - vesicular stage

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Convulsions.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

Multiple well-defined sub-centimeter hyperintense lesions in both cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres, including the bilateral ganglio-thalamic region.  Internal eccentric scolex noted. No evidence of mass effect. Multiple other similar lesions are seen in the scalp region, both orbits and infratemporal fossae.
