Presentation

A known case of pathologically proven eumycetoma of the right gluteal region.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
mri

Maduromycosis involves the skin and subcutaneous fat of the right gluteal region, extending to the right perianal region. Multiple small abscesses are present, with the typical dot-in-circle sign. These demonstrate ring enhancement following contrast.
