Presentation

Fever. Case of urinary tract infection.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Ill-defined echogenicity in upper pole of the right kidney which shows reduced flow signals. Rim of perinephric fluid is noted at the upper pole. Normal left kidney.

Case Discussion

In view of clinical background, findings favor focal bacterial pyelonephritis.
