Foreign body in foot

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Thorn injury - medial hind foot - 22 days.

Patient Data

Age: 50 yrs
Gender: Male
ultrasound

A linear foreign body is noted in region of interest.

 Length - 30 mm

 Directed perpendicular to skin.

Tt penetrates two msucles.

 It is between two braches of posteior tibial artery.

 Superficial tip - 3 mm from skin. Granuloma ( 17 x 17 x 6 mm ) is noted around tip.

 Distal end - Near bone cortex. No bone erosion is noted.

 Tract is noted around foreign body.
