Radiograph showing large expansile lesion arising from scapula with chondroid matrix suggesstive of cartilaginous origin.

Although most osteochondromas are benign they can undergo malignant transformation.
A cartilaginous cap of thickness > 15mm should raise the possibility of malignant transformation.
