Gluteal haematoma

Fall from height about 6 days ago.

Patient Data:

Age: 62
Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian
Modality: Ultrasound

Ultrasound reveals large collection in the subcutaneous tissue of the right gluteal region, encapsulated, with septa in respect of "web", heterogeneous hypoechoic content and absence of internal flow on Doppler. This is the characteristic feature of hematoma on ultrasound. Similar to that found in hemorrhagic ovarian cysts.
