Presentation

Anterior knee pain with clinically visible thickened band of tissue at anterolateral aspect of patella which 'flicks' at end extension.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Symptomatic echogenic edematous fat within the proximal lateral portion of Hoffa's fat pad consistent with Hoffa's fat pad impingement syndrome (patella tendon lateral femoral condyle friction syndrome) from patellar maltracking.
