Hyperdense left middle cerebral artery.

Tenuous asymmetry of attenuation between the hemispheres, the left with mild hypoattenuation.

A small area of possible previous infarction in the left frontal lobe.

Case Discussion

Hyperdense MCA sign is a increased attenuation of the proximal portion of the MCA and it is often associated with thrombosis of the M1 MCA segment. It is one of the early signs of ischemic stroke: MCA infarct.
