Intestinal malrotation

Presentation

Recurrent abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 7 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Reversed relation of superior mesenteric artery and vein.

Small bowels in right iliac fossa with absent colon.

Normal appendix in left lumbar region.

Barium

Duodenojejunal junction and ileo-cecal junction are located on the left side of the abdomen. 

Barium study done by Dr Ninad Shah.

Case Discussion

Findings of ultrasound favor intestinal malrotation. Barium study shows similar findings.
