Klatskin tumor

Presentation

Abdominal pain. History of cholecystectomy.

Patient Data

Age: 67 years
Gender: Female

There is marked dilatation of the intrahepatic ducts. A solid mass seen in junction of the right and left hepatic ducts.  After IV contrast (Magnevist) enhancement seen in mass.

MRCP showing typical stricture at the junction of the right and left hepatic ducts extending into the common hepatic duct (causing the most significant obstruction at the left hepatic duct).

Case Discussion

Findings are highly likely to represent a hilar cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin tumor).
